Nominees for the Hammett Prize

The North American Branch of the International Association of Crime Writers has announced the 2007 Hammett Prize nominees, and they are:

GHOST DANCER, by John Case (Ballantine)

THE PRISONER OF GUANTANAMO, by Dan Fesperman (Knopf)

DARK COMPANION, by Jim Nisbet (Dennis McMillan)

THE CRIMES OF JORDAN WISE, by Bill Pronzini (Walker)

FOUR KINDS OF RAIN, by Robert Ward (St. Martin’s)

The prize winner will be announced during the NAIBA Bookseller Sales Conference in Baltimore on October 14-15. Congrats to all in making a very tough shortlist full of worthy nominees.
