series featuring an L.A. detective and blending the mystery/thriller

elements of Michael Connelly and T. Jefferson Parker with the suspense

of Silence of the Lambs, to Ben Sevier at Minotaur, in a good deal, in

a three-books deal, by Scott Miller at Trident Media Group (world).

Besides, I’ve heard pretty good things about THE DEAD ROOM, and this sounds awfully cool, too.
