The complicated Kellermans
Last week Publishers Marketplace reported that Faye Kellerman had gone back William Morrow for her next 2 series novels, to be edited (once again) by Carrie Feron. She also switched UK publishers simultaneously to Harper UK. But the Bookseller reports on a few interesting wrinkles to the new deal:
Having left Barney Karpfinger, Kellerman is unagented (as are two other
important HarperCollins authors, Barbara Taylor Bradford and Dean
Koontz), and is herself handling translation rights.
More power to her, I suppose, but that does seem to invite a lot of headaches…
