Didn’t they learn the last time?

Because, I guess, BELLE DE JOUR was such a smashing success in the UK, W&N will be going back for sloppy seconds, so to speak:

Weidenfeld & Nicolson are delighted to announce that they have signed a new book by Belle de Jour, the pseudonymous author of THE INTIMATE ADVENTURES OF A LONDON CALL GIRL (published on 15th September in mass-market paperback at £6.99), for hardback publication in September 2006.

Provisionally entitled THE FURTHER ADVENTURES OF BELLE DE JOUR, the deal was closed after a great deal of arm-twisting and financial persuasion, with Belle commenting:

“I was initially reluctant, having given up the night job which attracted so much attention from the media. But Weidenfeld & Nicolson made me an offer which I can only describe as worth getting back into bed for….”

Arm-twisting. Reluctance. Uh, yeah. Although this is my favorite line: "In the anticipated follow-up, Belle deals with how to handle infidelity without being a hypocrite."

You mean, without miracles happening or some form of Divine Intervention?
