Somewhere, Caleb Carr is wondering why he didn’t think of this first
Because doesn’t it seem tailor-made for the man who would be ALIENIST:
Yale law professor Jed Rubenfeld’s debut novel, THE NAME OF ACTION, an
historical thriller set in Manhattan featuring Sigmund Freud assisting
a murder investigation (inspired by Freud’s actual 1909 visit to
America), to John Sterling at Holt, with George Hodgman editing, in a
pre-empt, for publication in fall 2006, by Suzanne Gluck at William
Morris Agency (NA).
Now, I am sure this is a super awesome book, concept, whatever, but it probably didn’t hurt that Rubenfeld has stellar credentials, has written several non-fiction tomes (including one just out this year) and is fairly easy on the eyes.
(And contrary to some people’s opinions, this is an asset — should you possess it — that you should use.)
