Jeez, that was quick
Why am I surprised about this? I don’t know, but I just am:
Oscar nominee Robert Forster is set to play a detective leading Wichita’s 31-year manhunt in a CBS movie tentatively titled "The Hunt for the BTK Killer."
Currently in production, the movie is set to air on Oct. 9.
It’s not known whether Forster’s character will be named Ken Landwehr, the real-life Wichita detective who was in charge of the investigation that ended with the apprehension of Dennis Rader in February.
Forster has been acting in feature films and television since the 1960s and was nominated for Best Supporting Actor as Max Cherry, a role written for him by Quentin Tarantino, in the 1997 movie "Jackie Brown." Forster also played the father of a U.S. marshal in the short-lived television series "Karen Sisco," which, like "Jackie Brown," was based on a novel by Elmore Leonard.
Michael Michele will portray another detective. She previously played an investigator for a season of "Homicide: Life of the Streets," and she appeared as a doctor in more than 50 episodes of "ER." Michele also appeared in the comedy "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days."
I also love how the article buries the casting of Gregg Henry as BTK until halfway into the article.
