The official new doyenne of UK crime fiction

In just a few short years, Selina Walker has pretty well established herself as one of the top editors of crime fiction in Britain. Now Transworld has promoted her and in their minds, made this official:

Previously a Senior Editor, Selina Walker has been made Editorial Director of Transworld’s Bantam Press imprint, and also becomes the first Publishing Director for crime and thrillers over the whole company.

Bill Scott-Kerr, Transworld Publishing Director, said: “Selina has significantly contributed to the shape and diversity of the list since she joined the company five years ago. Individual editors will continue to acquire and look after their own authors, but in her new role Selina will represent and champion our crime and thriller writers to the world at large.”

Among the authors Walker currently edits include Ken Bruen, Mo Hayder, Simon Kernick, Bill Landay, Tess Gerritsen, and Edwin Thomas, which is a pretty impressive mix.
