The writer as entrepreneur

Browsing: Barry Eisler has the third installment of his guestblog on book marketing posted today on M.J. Rose’s publishing blog, Buzz, Balls & Hype. “Smart writers understand that writing is also a business,” he says. “Really smart writers see themselves as entrepreneurs.” Along the same lines, an agent I know has recommended Pat Walsh’s “78 Reasons Why Your Book May Never Be Published and 14 Reason Why It Just Might.” Haven’t read it myself, but thought I’d pass that along. Someone also recently pitched her a book that you read to your dog, so maybe she’s having some feelings about all of this.
