Beyond voyeurism

Is it me, or are notorious criminals making an even bigger name for themselves than they used to? There was Dennis Rader — BTK of course — confessing his crimes with relish in open court. There’s Karla Homolka, refusing to be interviewed in her native English but still justifying her crimes nonethless (albeit in fluent French.)

And then there’s Joseph Duncan — pedophile, kidnapper, multiple murder and blogger. The last blog entry is May 13, three days before he allegedly killed 3 people in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho and abducted 8-year old Shasta and 9-year old Dylan, who is likely dead as well.
