Celebrity bios for authors, too

I suppose it had to happen, but it still strikes me as somewhat odd:

Lisa Rogak’s THE MAN BEHIND THE DA VINCI CODE, a biography of author Dan Brown (including "his first calling as a middle-of-the-road pop singer), to Chris Schillig at Andrews McMeel, for publication in October 2005, by Scott Mendel of Mendel Media Group.

Rogak, you may remember, has previously graced the pages of this blog as the woman about to write a biography of Shel Silverstein. My understanding is that the latter project’s been put on hold to work on this one, as evident by the rush publication date.

Anyway, I wonder if Lewis Perdue will be interviewed for this book…
