Introducing Otis Twelve
There’s something vaguely ironic in how the subject of my previous post — a buzzed-about author named Twelve (Hawks) writing under an obvious pseudonym — gives way to my next guest blogger, a buzzed-about author named Twelve writing under an obvious pseudonym. But the one and only time I spoke to Otis, he didn’t sound like his voice had been scrambled, and I think there were witnesses to this conversation. Though I suppose it all could have been a figment of my frazzled imagination…
But anyway.
Otis is a man of many hats. Currently he wears the one of crime writer, fresh off winning the 2nd Lit Idol competition with his first book ON THE ALBINO FARM making the rounds of publishing editorial committees, but those in and around Omaha are well acquainted with the sound of his voice and all the ways he’s managed to distort it. I’m rather partial to the Mean Farmer sketches, which start out rather normal and then devolve into something rather more bizarre — and then it keeps going.
But enough from me. He’s got the blog till Thursday, and I’ve no doubt he’ll find ways to entertain with the written word as well.
