RIP, Batya Gur

Perhaps the most famous Israeli crime novelist has died at the age of 57, after a nine-month battle with cancer. Her most recent book featuring Israeli police detective Michael Ohayon was published in late 2004 by HarperCollins as BETHLEHEM ROAD MURDER.

The funeral took place on Friday. Gur is survived by her husband as well as three children from a previous marriage.
