Thriller-a-minute

The International Thriller Writers’ Association started off with a splash and it’s only getting louder. With a cocktail reception forthcoming during Book Expo and many star wattage authors as members and sponsors, the fledgling organization wants to make themselves known in a big way, and this new deal will certainly help:

THRILLER: The First International Thriller Writer’s Anthology, an

anthology edited by James Patterson, featuring all-new stories by 30

top thriller writers, based on characters from their longer fiction,

from such contributors as John Lescroart, Lee Child, Gayle Lynds,

Heather Graham, David Morrell, Joseph Finder, Alex Kava, M.J. Rose,

Douglas Preston, Lincoln Child, Greg Iles, Christopher Reich, Brad

Thor, and Katharine Neville, to Margaret Marbury at Mira, in a very

good deal, for publication in June 2006 to coincide with the first

convention for the new organization, comprising over 150 authors, by

Richard Pine at Inkwell Management (world English).

That convention,  is to be held in Phoenix and will be tentatively titled ThrillerFest.

The full list of contributors to the upcoming anthology can be found here.  All writers are donating their work and the anthology proceeds are going into ITW’s operating costs (i.e., it’s their first fundraiser.)
