Congratulations to all the nominees, who will find out if they win at Bouchercon this Labor Day Weekend.

Now, in terms of my thoughts? George Easter seems to want to mollify the crowd that yes, women were considered, but I don’t really think he had to. And in terms of short stories, perhaps it would have been interesting if more people had been on the selection committee instead of leaving it up to Marv Lachman, whose tastes are knowledgeable, but he is only one person.
