The launch party of launch parties
Oh, I would have given almost anything to be at the launch party of Reed Farrel Coleman’s THE JAMES DEANS at Partners & Crime last week, but alas, day jobs have a nagging sense of priority in my life at the moment. Luckily, a lot of fine folks got to go, and so I direct you to the accounts given by Dave White and Gerald So, as well as Mary Reagan’s pictures, many of which will appear in an upcoming issue of Crime Spree.
Among the authors in attendance, besides Mr. Coleman, were Jason Starr and Maggie Estep (who will collaborate together on an anthology of horse-racing stories) S.J. Rozan, Michele Martinez, Tom Savage, Peter Blauner, Gabriel Cohen (who also runs a bar in Red Hook, the title of his first novel — and wouldn’t it be nice if a second one was forthcoming?) Pat Lambe, Charlie Stella, Jim Fusilli, and Sheila York, along with Penguin/Plume marketing honcho Brant Janeway.
And something tells me many of the same names will be getting together in the same spot for another writer’s launch party next month….
