The Plot Against Roosevelt
Why do I have the sinking feeling that thanks to Philip Roth, alternate history is the new black? This brand new deal just adds to the bandwagon feeling:
David L. Robbins’s ASSASSIN’S GALLERY, an historical thriller, with an alternative history twist, postulating what if FDR’s death by a brain embolism actually been an assassination by poison that was later covered up to protect America’s flagging morale at the end of a grueling war, following the assassin’s footsteps and replaying the headlines from the final days of World War II, again to Kate Miciak at Bantam, in a significant deal, for two books, by Tracy Fisher at the William Morris Agency (NA).
And want to bet that poison will turn out to be…dioxin!
I kid. Actually, it sounds pretty neat, but I also admit that on rare occasions I sometimes like to spout off on my own pet theory about the Kennedy assasination…
