Maguire goes global
As I’ve said many times (over and over again) Emily Maguire’s debut novel TAMING THE BEAST is one that made an indelible impression upon me when I read it this past summer. But for the longest time, this book was only available in her native Australia. Happily, that is no longer the case: Serpent’s Tail has bought world rights (apart from Australia/New Zealand) to the novel, and will publish it in the UK in September 2005.
Huge congratulations to Emily–she’s in very good company, after all. And oh, I can’t help it–I just think this is really, really cool news, because now more people will get the chance to read the novel. And what’s better than that?
