Just when I wondered if Kate Atkinson’s CASE HISTORIES would be completely ignored in the newspapers (no reviews over the weekend? Huh?!) Janet Maslin comes along and well, likes it but seems to hold her nose as she does so. Weird.
Patrick Anderson, who sometimes can be accused of having a sense of humor, delivers by dubbing David Baldacci a victim of the James Patterson Really Bad Thriller Sweepstakes. Heh. Although for those of whom who are fans, alas, I have more news on that regard later today…
It’s been mentioned mightly around the ‘sphere, but today’s the day for full, unfettered access to the Paris Review’s interview archive from the 1950s as part of it’s “DNA of Literature” project. Dive in and enjoy its wares.
