Mo Hayder’s new US deal

Although I don’t know much in the way of details, Mo Hayder’s agency, Gregory & Company, reports on their website that they have sold the US rights to TOKYO to Grove/Atlantic. I must admit it’s a very interesting choice for a publisher, since G/A, when they do crime fiction, really go for upmarket, quasi-literary choices like Donna Leon and Petros Markaris. I’m guess they’ll market Hayder’s third novel in a somewhat similar fashion.

No word on a release date for the US edition at this time.
