A happy day for Ken Bruen

Just over the transom:

Two new books in Ken Bruen’s Edgar-nominated crime series set in Ireland featuring hard-boiled, a darkly comic p.i. Jack Taylor, along with two new books in Bruen’s London-based series starring the vicious, morally ambiguous Inspector Brant of the Southeast London police squad, again to Ben Sevier at Minotaur/SMP, in a very significant deal, by Marianne Gunn O’Connor.

And this is marvellous news indeed, although I suspect the “new” books in question are already available in the UK. If so, the Taylor books would be THE MAGDALEN MARTYRS (originally published in 2003) and THE DRAMATIST (just out now, with a killer, killer ending), and the Brant books would be VIXEN (out last November) and CALIBRE (no date set, but likely the fall of this year.)

Bruen’s star just keeps rising. Congratulations, Sir Jameson (as nicknamed by Charlie Stella.)
